Frequently Asked Questions

How much time do you need for each make-over?

I like to allow 45-60minutes per face. This includes time for touch ups after the whole party has been completed.

What time do you leave after make-up is complete?

I will be present at least 30 minutes after your photographer has arrived and everyone in the bridal party has had their make-up touched up. Additionally, I will leave some touch up items.

What kind of products do you use?

I have many different brands which are all dermatologically and ophthalmology tested. I use MAC, Giorgio Armani, Shu Uemura, Make-Up Forever, Napoleon, MaxFactor, Clarins, Classified Cosmetics and Arbonne.

How long have you been doing bridal make-up?

I have been a make-up artist for 25 years specialising in fashion and theatrical make-up. I have been a successful, award winning, bridal make-up artist for 15 years.

Is a make-up trial necessary?

Most people like to attend a make-up trial for their own piece of mind. They get to experience how they will look on their wedding day. Make-up applied during a trial is often used for a special occasion or pre-wedding photography shots.

What should I bring to my trial?

Bring along some images of make-up looks that you like. Also, bring some images of make-up you don't like. If you wish, you can bring your personal make-up bag to show me some of your favourite products. If you have a colour swatch of your bridesmaid dresses and the colour story of your wedding, it would helpful to bring along.

Should I wear make-up to the make-up trial?

No. If possible please arrive with clean, exfoliated and moisturised skin. If you wax, it is a good idea to do this a week prior.

Where is a make-up trial conducted?

At my studio in Cronulla, 26km south of Sydney CBD.

Where is the wedding make-up applied?

At your desired location.

What is the minimum booking number for a wedding?

Four faces.

Do you style hair?

I can style hair for photographic shoots. However for bridal parties, where time is limited, I concentrate on make-up.

Do you shape eyebrows?

Yes, I do. Shaping eyebrows is a specialty of mine. I do not wax or thread. I fastidiously tweeze.

What should I complete first, hair or make-up?

It's preferable to apply your make-up last.

Do you wash your brushes between clients?

Absolutely, everything is hygienically cleaned and sanitised between clients.

Will your make-up last?

Yes, my theatrical experience has made me an expert in applying make-up that lasts.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, gift certificates are available for special occasion make-overs, one on one lessons, and party groups.
